take off!

Today we ask that you dedicate yourself to something you believe in.

It is a very good thing to dedicate yourself to something you truly believe in.

It is a shortcut, in fact, out of feeling stuck, unmotivated, depressed, or lacking energy.

When you do work that you believe in, that lifts you up out of your little ego needs, and the ego’s desire for security and specialness —  you will tap into a deep reservoir of energy.

Whatever your cause may be, so long as it serves the greater good and causes no harm to others, then the flow of energy will be with you.

If you desire to help people, animals, or the environment — this is good.

Just be careful that your cause does not ask you to do harm in the name of the greater good.

If you do harm, or attack others, in the name of the greater good, then you will have very mixed results.  The energy will not be with you.

So make sure that your cause does not ask you to attack or harm others.

But if your cause is purely good, it will never ask this.

There are countless ways to be of service.  Creating art, for example, is a tremendously good service — so long as it is about creating something that can enrich and enliven the world, and not just the artist’s ego.

Nor is doing charitable work because it means getting your name on a plaque, or having a “networking opportunity” any good at all.  This is a very poor motivation for doing good work.

If your heart is in the right place, and you are dedicating yourself to something you believe in, that does not harm others — then there will be a great rush of energy to support you.  It is like the wind under an airplane.  You will “take off.”
