the path to peace

Today we ask that you question insane beliefs.

Most humans really are not sane.  The reason they are not sane is because they believe what they have been told by insane people.

Any belief system that promotes the ideology that mankind is existentially worthless or sinful is insane.

Any belief system that promotes the ideology that this reality is broken, profane, or corrupt is insane.

Any belief system that promotes the ideology of a punitive divinity that sends souls to eternal suffering in Hell, or to reincarnate in some sort of bad life, is insane.

Any belief system that promotes the ideology that individual human value is measured by markers like monetary worth or societal achievement is insane.

Any belief system that promotes the ideology that life is meaningless, and that the universe is empty and uncaring, is insane.

Perhaps you begin to see why most people are insane.

Here are some sane beliefs:

You are fundamentally good, and worthy.  Nothing that you do, or do not do, in this life can take away from your intrinsic worth.  This is true for you, and for everyone else.

Reality is fundamentally good.  The universe is conscious, intelligent, and loving.

It is not punitive.  The very notion of any kind of punitive divinity is nonsensical.

Someone might hear this and ask: “What about consequences?”

Someone might say: “I am a virtuous, God-fearing individual who works hard, makes sacrifices for my loved ones, and lives morally.  Surely I am worth more than some drug addict or criminal.”

The answer to this person is “No, you are not.”

No one is worth more than anyone else.

Someone might say, “I don’t want to live in a universe where there are no consequences for bad people.  I want to live in a universe where good people are rewarded and bad people are punished.”

There is no such universe, outside of human minds.  That universe does not exist.

But so long as you cling to a belief in a hierarchy of human worth, you will suffer and be miserable.  It doesn’t matter if you measure worth according to moral virtue or monetary possessions.  If you believe that “God” loves some people more than others, or that some people are simply worth more than others, then you are not sane, and your insanity will manifest as misery.

The rich are not worth more than the poor.

The virtuous are not worth more than the immoral.

The self-sacrificing are not worth more than the selfish.

The spiritual are not worth more than the materialistic.

The success is not worth more than the failure.

The smart are not worth more than the stupid.

It is very hard for people to let go of the belief that some people are worth more than others.  Their whole identity may be based on this belief.

The question is:

Would you rather experience a deep sense of peace and well-being in this life?

Or would you rather cling to the belief that you must constantly strive to be a superior being?

You can have one, or the other.

But not both.

Sanity and peace are one.  The sane person is a peaceful person.

To be sane, you must let go of insane beliefs.

It doesn’t matter if 99% of the people on the planet believe these things.  Your planet is in the state it’s in because most people are not sane.

Today, be one of the sane ones.  Believe in the truth that you are intrinsically good, just you are, and the universe loves you unconditionally.  Let everything else falls away.
